Driftwood Necklace 1

This necklace is made from driftwood I collected on the shores of San Juan Inlet, maybe better know to some as where Port Renfrew is (a small community on the edge of it). I like to go to the middle and other side which is the Pacheedaht First Nations beach... and I love that their name translates into "Children of the Sea Foam".

Anyways... I will definitely write about it soon in my blog. Also the Campground is open all year round if you want to go. With some little yurt huts available if you don't want to camp.

They are 45 ring layers in this slice of driftwood. Each ring on a tree indicates a year of growth. It also has the unique holes made by a sea boring worm (don't worry it's long gone) which adds a ton of character you won't find without it.  After cutting and sanding I buffed in some pure bees wax. I tired to give you as many photos to see all the unique angles and even a side view that features my working fingers.

I included a large sterling silver bead with a fish image on it.

See photo for size in cm and inches.
