Authentic 50's era Cedar Fishing Cork Ornaments

I'm not sure why I have such a huge passion for the history of fishing on the coast... maybe it's all part of a lot of things, like the stories my 97 year old pops still tells or my great grandfather's old captains tickets and books that got handed to me - some are dated as early as 1904. I'll have to write about it so next time I can just link you to my blog!

Making new things from old fishing gear while allowing it to still be recognizable is something I like to do... so this year I sliced some old (70 plus years) cedar lathe turned gill net corks into discs and created ornaments.
